And away we go…
Another apology is in order. I have been pretty overwheled with finishing college and going off to London for the New Designers show in Islington, not to mention family holidays and general Life stuff and the Flintlocks has suffered for it.
JP (who is blameless in the delay, his writing was done months ago) and I agreed that Boiler Calhoun needed his Big Entrance to be on a full page and so here he is with his attendant henchmen (what baddie doesnt have henchmen? I think its a Law to use up the European Hench Mountain.) Developing the visual appearance of BC was a nightmare and highlighted all the problems of working on a collaborative project over a distance. If JP and I could’ve spent an afternoon in a pub or over a coffee we could’ve saved a lot of time and effort…. However, he is done now and ready to face up to the Kings Men.
Looking to the future, JP has said he is thinking of writing a background to the world of the Flintlocks in period style (think Samuel Johnson etc) which will be published in an illustrated format here on the site. I’m looking forward to that!
Anyway, I am off now to crack on with the rest of this chapter. Further bulletins as events warrant.
Phill
